You know you are having a bad day when...

a bird POOPS on your car 2 seconds after you get a car wash!!!! I was so mad...it wasn't just a tiny poop - it splattered all over my side window!! Mason belly laughed so hard his face turned bright red...and then he wanted to know why a bird's poop was white! Talk about 'things that make you go hmmmmmm'! I didn't quite know the answer to his question, so we looked it up on the computer when we got home: Unlike mammals, birds don't urinate. Their kidneys extract nitrogenous wastes from the bloodstream in the form of uric acid. Uric acid has a very low solubility in water, so it emerges as a white paste. Interesting, huh?
