A mean attempt at Bluebonnet pictures...

Can I just be real honest and say...I did NOT have fun taking bluebonnet pictures this year!! I admit, I did NOT find the joy in plopping my beautiful children down in a patch of pretty flowers. We drove to 3 different cities to find flowers worth stopping for, I had to make a jack-knife turn to park on the LEFT side of the highway so we wouldn't get swept away by a mack truck, Grace didn't want to smile, Mason didn't want to sit on the ground (darn ants!!), the sun made them squint like nobody's business, Grace didn't want the flowers to touch her, Mason wanted to go home...and why did everyone feel the need to HONK when they drove by!!! Thank goodness for Libby - we took turns making up crazy dances using the hairbrush (and you wonder why there was so much honking going on???)! We got a couple of smiles out of the millions of pictures we took. But in most of them, Grace looks like she's mad at the world - and Mason looks like he needs to "drop the kids off at the pool"!!! HAHA! Needless to say, everyone was completely worn out at the end of our mean attempt at bluebonnet pictures, but I will always look back at these pictures and smile (or laugh)!
