Happy 5th Birthday, Mason!!

Mason is convinced he is going to be a fire fighter...not sure how we will ever top this birthday party!! The Highland Village Fire Fighters came to pick Mason up at our house. He got to ride around for awhile before they took him to the fire station for a party with his friends!! Happy Birthday Mason...DREAM BIG!!!

Salvation Army

Just wanted to share a cute picture of Mason. He chose a big fire truck, new sneaks, a hat and gloves, and a new outfit for our angel we adopted from the Salvation Army. He was very excited!!

A special message from Mason...

Dear friends and family,I am working on my very special "2nd Annual" CHRISTMAS PROJECT and I could use your help. Christmas is right around the corner and I have a plan to help other children who may not have as nice of a holiday as we have. I am going to clean out my room and get together all of the toys that I don't play with anymore...won't you do the same? We can make room for Santa's visit AND help others at the same time!

My family and I will be collecting your gently used toys in November and the first two weeks in December. Then, we will be donating the to Heroes for Children, an organization that helps children undergoing cancer treatment. All of the toys from "Mason's Project" will be donated to children in our immediate area...can you believe we have the power to make such a huge difference?

We are going to make our special delivery the week of December 17th, and my daddy has made room in our garage for your donations. Please feel free to bring your toys anytime...we can also pick them up for you!!

If you have any questions, you can contact my mommy at 972.691.5345 or heathermabery@verizon.net. And please be sure to pass this information on to your friends...the more, the merrier (Christmas, that is!!)

Happy Holidays with lots of hugs,

Getting ready for December...

On your mark, get set...GO!! December is a busy time for everyone, but it's extra crazy for the Mabery Family. We have Mike's birthday, my birthday, Mason's birthday AND Christmas!! We are on the ball...we got everything down from the attic and already put up two trees!! The pictures are fuzzy, but I thought the lights looked so pretty in the dark!!

Hello, my name is Heather and I admit...I want to be a blogger!!

You know you are old when all the craze about the wii, i-pods, webkins and i-phones makes your head spin with confusion. What happened to the good old days when a great game of chinese checkers would do? I really feel like technology is taking over...since when did I not understand the coolest advances in phones, computers and video games?

Well, those of you who know me well know that I am all about preserving special memories and sharing them with family and friends. I attempted a family website, but after two kids I found myself unorganized, tired and short on time. I'll have to admit, I haven't developed pictures in over a year and a half!! You see, the digital camera was the beginning of my technological demise!!

So, I have a couple of friends who have a blog. And I'm like, BLOG???...sounds like more of a name for something strange that gets caught in your throat rather than a nice place to post pictures and information about your family!! OK...so I call the strange things that get stuck in my throat FLOGS, but the point is...I really need to get it together! Technology is really leaving me in the dirt.

So, here is my new BLOG...and I'm sure Mason would like a Wii for Christmas, I would love a pink i-pod (even though I have no idea how to use it), I'll take a webkin over a live animal any day - AND the idea of my phone singing 'Crank Dat Soldier Boy' when it rings makes me smile...haha!! I'm catching up to the times!!

That's right, I'm a blogger :) So, check back often for updates on my family! I'll add pictures soon!!

Hugs,Heather
